Greater Life Church was birthed in 2017, when two churches merged together and unified their vision for something greater. We are a spirit-filled and spirit-led church whose mission is to make Jesus known.

We are a community of people that come from different backgrounds, upbringings, but that's what makes us so unique. Greater Life Church exists to be a beacon of hope and a place of security and restoration in the Charlotte area.

Greater Life Church was born in 2017, but we can look back at over 90 years of heritage and God's faithfulness.

Garr Church was founded in 1930 by Dr. A.G. Garr, who was one of the first Pentecostal missionaries and evangelists to present a Full Gospel message. Over the years, thousands of people have been saved, healed, and have experienced the power of God through this ministry.

One of the unique elements of our heritage is how in 2017 Garr Church and Mint Hill Community Church came together believing that greater things could be accomplished together.

Pastor Andrew Byrd (Mint Hill Community Church Founder) and Pastor Randy Briscoe (Pastor at Garr Church) agreed that God had called them to pursue a new vision together. On May 7th, 2017 both churches voted unanimously to become Greater Life Church and since that day we have seen growth in our church, in our relationships and in our ministry team.

Our mission is to simply live out Jesus' last commands. We exist to represent Jesus in everything we do, and live a life of love while in relationship with our Father, those around us, and throughout the world.

If we don't love, we will gain nothing. We are a community that loves each other no matter where you are. Everyone is welcome at glc. Love takes on many forms, and sometimes that can be in the form of a hard truth. But one thing is for sure, truth and love both exist here. A common saying we share is this, "We love you right where you are, but we also love you too much to leave you there." No matter the stage of life we are in, we are all here to grow!

Our mission is to Gather, Grow and Go. We Gather in the presence of God with others, Grow in community and faith, and GO in the power of Jesus to our city and the world.
